Jody Quigley, a Doylestown resident and lead actor in “Apparition”, won the best actor award at the 2015 INDIE FILM FESTIVAL in Switzerland. Filmed primarily in Horsham and Hatboro, Apparition is a supernatural thriller exploring the themes of love, death, and the fragility of the mind. When Doug’s fiancee, Lori, (Katrina Law) is killed in a car accident, he retreats to their isolated farmhouse (the Penrose Strawbridge House at Graeme Park in Horsham) to deal with his loss. Left to grieve amid years of memories, Doug (Jody Quigley) realizes he has not returned alone. As he learns the tragic history of the farmhouse, supernatural occurrences leave him fearing for his sanity, and reveal a secret Lori took with her to the grave. Struggling to determine whether what he is seeing is real, or all in his head, Doug finds solace in the company of Jamie, (Lili Bordan) a local grad student. As their friendship deepens, Doug draws her with him into the horrifying events unfolding in the old farmhouse.

The director, Quinn Saunders, stated that “We rewrote the script for this house – the house is the other lead character in the script. It was crucial.” Local actor, Jody Quigley (Doug), noted that, “The house was creepy – totally creepy. The walls were splitting, there was exposed stone, flaking paint, and dust everywhere. And the basement was uber-creepy. That’s why we used it; it fit into the whole script perfectly.”
