Our Homeownership Program provides an opportunity for low-income families to increase their independence and economic well-being through home ownership and educational opportunities. Habitat families work hard for their homes; they contribute an average of 200 hours of sweat equity and will pay a mortgage for their home. Through our unique program, families acquire a sense of ownership and responsibility that they may not have as renters or tenants.  Since our founding in 1990, Habitat Bucks has built 100 affordable homes in Bucks County.  For more information about Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County please visit our website at:  www.habitatbucks.org.

About Samuel Adams

The Boston Beer Company began in 1984 with a generations-old family recipe that Founder and Brewer Jim Koch uncovered in his father's attic. Inspired and unafraid to challenge conventional thinking about beer, Jim brought the recipe for this complex, full-flavored beer to life in his kitchen. That beer was aptly named Samuel Adams Boston Lager, in recognition of one of our nation's great founding fathers, a man of independent mind and spirit. Little did Jim know at the time, Samuel Adams Boston Lager would soon become a catalyst of the American craft beer revolution.  In 2008, the company took ownership of a world-class brewery located in the Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania. The Samuel Adams Pennsylvania Brewery today employs approximately 500 people and produces nearly every style of Samuel Adams beers.  The brewery’s commitment at to quality and innovation is evident in the capital investments made to increase capacity and capabilities, including the addition of new aging and fermentation tanks and a new canning line. Today, The Boston Beer Company brews more than 60 styles of beer and relentlessly pursues the development of new styles and the perfection of classic beers by searching the world for the finest ingredients.  Although Samuel Adams is one of the largest-selling, independent, and American owned craft brewery in the U.S., it still only accounts for 1% of the U.S. beer market.

In 2008, the company also launched Samuel Adams Brewing the American Dream as the focus of its philanthropy. This program provides microloans and coaching to hard working small food and beverage business owners and craft brewers, so that they can do what they love, provide for their families, and create local jobs.
